To Celebrate Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday I hand lettered one of my favorite quotes taken from his children's book, The BFG. The artwork in the back is a series of paint splatters to help establish the mood and create visual interest.

In this campaign I partnered with STAPAW (Support Tattoos and Piercings at Work) to support the acceptance of tattoos in the workforce. In general the theme is aimed at any business that discriminates potential employees by the artwork on their skin, but is heavily focused towards the medical field because many are not aloud to have any visible tattoos in the field. The overall theme is to hire people by their resumé and not their skin. In this campaign, magazine advertisements were created, along with a lenticular poster displayed in public, and a couple additional advertisements as well; each would help in the fight against discrimination in the workforce.

Maker's Mark has been one of the most dominant whiskey companies in America; however, they have yet to re-brand themselves and look at a better identity. In these projects, I designed a fresh look to the brand yet still included the dominant red mark that distinguishes the brand from its competitors. Provided are examples of their letterhead system, letter-pressed coasters and an invitation, t-shirt designs, signage, and of course a wax stamp that plays off of the bottle that is dipped in the same red wax.

Every semester The University of Akron Dance Company (UADC) puts on a concert displaying their performers and dance routines. This poster was created to display their fall concert which is I why I went with the given colors. I also played with the shape of the dancers to create a border that helped to emphasize the important text, while providing visual interest.

Lockview is one of Akron's most prominent restaurants and has been serving the community for over 10 years, in which the company never saw to re-brand their current logo. I felt it was needed so I designed a more modern logo for the company and re-designed their menu as well. From waterproof menu paper to avoid pills, to their logo, lasercut into the back of the menu, their identity was given a new and fresh look. A few additional applications were developed as well.

Various labels designed for European countries located within The Vodka Belt. Each label is significant to the given countries' flag and colors. The travel-sized bottles were then packaged inside a lasercut, wooden box that displayed the location of these countries in Europe. Paint was then added to emphasize the product name and country locations.

Every semester The University of Akron Theater performs a play with a visiting artist and for the Fall Semester it was The America Play. This play was different from anything they did in the past because it focused more on the presidential past and centered around a darker side of Lincoln, and how he really died. The poster depicts this darker side and also gives the viewer a sense of a historical background with the given typeface.

Heirloom Gardener is one of the biggest gardening magazines on the market, but they do not have the best page layouts. Therefore, I re-designed 3 of their magazine covers and 2 of their pages layouts that would be featured in the magazine. Color, typography and layout were all considered when developing these concepts.
